About Us
We are small family farms and cooperatives throughout Italy, producing extra
virgin olive oils that win awards in a country where the standards for olive oil
are higher than anywhere else in the world.  

We love to cook -- we're Italian. You love to cook, too, and you love the healthy
Mediterranean diet. We started Olio&Olive so we could share our special olive
oils with people like you. Just the fact that you found us shows that you're
already one of the conoscenti – Italian for "people in the know."

You understand that all olive oils are not interchangeable, any more than grape
juice and fine wine are interchangeable. A fine olive oil can make the difference
between a mediocre meal and a memorable one.

That's why we hand-harvest our olives at the peak of perfection and process
them into extra virgin olive oil in small batches within a few hours. It doesn't get
any fresher.

Thousands of different olive oils are produced in Italy each year. Olio&Olive
searches every region and selects only the finest, the most intense and
flavorful olive oils. But we don't let it rest there. We go through the same
search every year.

Because of these rigorous standards, you can find the top chefs in many fine
restaurants in Italy using Olio&Olive oils to create traditional and innovative
dishes. Now the same thing is happening with chefs in renowned restaurants in
the United States
